Aimeric and type go way backkkkk.

He picked his first font on Dafont at age 10, for creating thumbnails for his Minecraft .

At 18, he discovered Glyphs and attended his first type class.

Now he's hooked.

His camera roll is bloated with photos of odd street signage, and he keeps downloading fonts he absolutely does not need.

_Trial (157 trial fonts collected since the start of the year)

_Fonts (5,232 fonts on my MacBook)

_Custom (42 font projects started - 5 kinda finished)

Lately, I've been enjoying wrecking fonts! From altering .UFOs with Python scripts, creating original variable axes to drawing glyphs in a Google Doc. But initially drawn to type from custom lettering work and sign painting.

PX150

PX150 explores the contrast between the rigid and the volatile, and the space where these two opposing states meet. The typeface is a remix of IBM Plex Mono, which I encountered heavily compressed and stretched on the web while working on Marvin Sipma’s portfolio, extending that distortion into an explosive variable axis that echoes the energy of his motion work.
To visualise this relationship, I was drawn to the familiar image of electricity surging through a screen, disrupting the binary information held within it. I liked the idea that these two juxtaposed states could communicate and affect one another. Pixels represent one of the most controlled visual systems imaginable, and I wanted to see what happens when they are disoriented from that system—breaking away from the grid and beginning to behave more like particles.
